Many people around the world have seen the film ‘Gaslands’, which highlights the risks of unconventional gas drilling. The process of fracking brings the danger of ground water being contaminated with dangerous chemicals.
Gas drilling will also create greenhouse gas emissions, direct physical impacts of building drill rigs, access roads and pipelines, and industrialisation of rural environments. It is no wonder that most people oppose this process.
