Like many things in 2021, this Annual General Meeting will be a little different. 

We will host the AGM via Zoom to ensure that we remain compliant with the enduring COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings. We hope that you will join us as we report back on another year of grassroots activism during an ongoing global pandemic. Our network has continued to flourish and continues to MOBILISE, RESIST and TRANSFORM despite the many challenges!

Introducing our Keynote Speaker : Sharon Ford – Original Power 

Sharon Ford is a descendant of the Wangan and Jagalingou People of Central Queensland. Through personal and professional experiences, Sharon has developed a thorough understanding of the challenges their people face in protecting community interests and establishing effective and functional self-governing communities. Sharon is an Indigenous Governance and Management Consultant with over 20 years’ experience working with Indigenous Corporations, including nearly a decade of experience in the Native Title Industry. Sharon is passionate about empowering Aboriginal people to exercise their right to make decisions that affect our families, cultures and country.

Original Power is a small community-focused organisation that aims to build the power of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through collective action. Their  mission is to build the power, skills, capacity and collective capability of their  people to genuinely self determine what happens in their communities and on their country.
