The Act on Climate collective meet weekly on Tuesday evenings. On the second Thursday of the month we are hosting a social event instead of a meeting. This is an opportunity for new and existing members to gather outside of FoE HQ to chat about what's going informally, check in and hang out. This months meetup will be purely about supporting Camp Sovereignty, .
Camp sovereignty is a space at so-called King's Domain in the city which has significant history for First Nations people. It has been re-established with a daily dinner, smoking ceremony and yarning circle. It's a space open for people to drop in, chat, participate in workshops or organise events in the liberation from colonialism. The camp is ongoing until the government returns the land to Kulin Nation.

The AoC collective plan to visit the camp regularly in solidarity with First Nations struggles and organising on this continent, in Palestine and beyond as communities fight for liberation from settler-colonialism.

Act on Climate campaigns for climate justice with frontline communities, workers, and unions. The collective is building an alliance with grassroots groups towards climate resilience and local solutions with social justice at its' core.
We led the community campaign for the Andrews government to set science-based Emissions Reduction Targets and are now calling on the Victorian government to commit to funding community climate resilience.
Weekly collective meetings are the engine room for our campaigns. Dinner is included, with the meal cooked by a collective member.

There can be no climate justice without justice for First Nations communities everywhere. Solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people under settler colonialism in so called Australia is critical in the fight for liberation from all oppressive systems that devalue and exploit people and the environment.
