Sign up to the Frontline Climate Alliance Victoria

Climate impacts are already here. We need solutions, support and solidarity enacted now. In November 2023, we launched the Frontline Climate Alliance Vic (FCAV), to work together towards community-led climate adaptation and more resilient Victorian communities that keep people safe.

Over the past 9 months, the alliance has been exploring climate adaptation in Victoria and bringing people together to learn about, amplify, and build grassroots power for community led adaptation solutions.

Now, the FCAV space is ready to step up local Climate Adaptation Activators wanting to make their community resilient in the face of unavoidable impacts.

We are seeking local leaders in Victorian communities wanting to help progress community-led climate adaptation locally. Climate Adaptation Activators wanting to make their community resilient in the face of unavoidable impacts and take their region along on the journey of adaptation will be aided by the alliance to accomplish this.

We will work together to share ideas, resources and solidarity for building this resilience locally to keep those most at risk in your community safe.

The alliance will build grassroots power for community led adaptation solutions, and build pressure on the Vic government to act on climate adaptation while preparing our communities for now unavoidable climate impacts.

Sign up to be a local Climate Adaptation Activators or to keep in touch and hear more about our campaign for community-led climate adaptation.

The Act on Climate Collective is demanding that the Vic government resource adaptation for climate impacted Vic communities through a Victorian Community Climate Adaptation Fund (VCCAF). We need community-led climate adaptation that is continuously and adequately funded. This funding will enable communities to fulfil their plans to build resilient communities in a changing climate and keep those most at risk safe.

We want to see the Victorian government fund climate adaptation plans for local communities across the state according to each community’s vision

Together we can help prepare communities for now unavoidable climate impacts.
