Public Transport Not Traffic, along with Friends of the Earth, are supporting and endorsing the Trains Not Tolls #Rally4PT happening in Melbourne on Saturday 28 June at 1pm.
The Public Transport Not Traffic is a coalition of community groups from across Victoria campaigning against the dirty, expensive and deeply-unpopular East-West Link. We’re calling for real and immediate investment in public transport for all Victorians.
We are opposed to the toll road and tunnel for a number of reasons, including the huge cost (approx $18 billion) and the lack of mandate from the Liberal government for this project as well as the irreversible damage and permanent loss of public lands at Royal Park caused by this toll road.
