The Federal Parliament has established an inquiry to consider the potential role of nuclear power in Australia. Nuclear power would seriously obstruct the renewable energy transition by funneling public money away from viable and cost-effective renewable energy solutions.
Thanks to the 350 plus people that made a submission to the inquiry using our handy template, researched by Dr Jim Green. Making a submission for the inquiry is to ensure our shared energy future is based on community input. Friend of the Earth has put in a joint submission with other ENGOs.
Currently the Committee is holding its public hearings in all the regions that are targeted by the Coalition's plan for nuclear reactors and in the capitals of those states. This is another opportunity for us to speak out loud and clear that our future is renewable, not radioactive.
Join us in Victoria on Tuesday 3 December from 10.30-11.30 am at the Traralgon Rally and Wednesday 4 December from 8-9am outside 440 Collins Street, in Naarm/ Melbourne.
