No Coal Exports Rally

Where: Parliament of Victoria Steps, Spring St Melbourne

When: 1-1.45pm, Tuesday 10th December

The Victorian Government is set to allocate up to 13 billion tonnes of brown coal from the Latrobe Valley for companies to export overseas. And just to sweeten the deal, they want to hand over $90 million to help the companies develop the highly experimental technology needed to export it. But we say enough is enough.

Environment Victoria, along with FoE, Quit Coal and other community groups are holding a ‘No Coal Allocations, No Coal Exports’ rally on the 10th of December, from 1pm on the steps of Parliament House, Melbourne.

We have already seen how amazing it is when Melburnians take to the streets to demand responsibility on climate action. Let’s show them that it wasn’t a once off and be there, making the voices of Victorian communities heard.
