Friends of the Earth Melbourne is excited to invite you to the official launch of our new building Mural by local artist TextaQueen. 

Join us to celebrate this community project with TextaQueen and local FoE campaigners.                     

Friends of The Earth Melbourne has been working for environmental and social justice for more than 50 years and on the front line of challenging dominant systems with one of the oldest running food cooperatives in so-called Australia being located on Smith St since 1994.

TextaQueen's mural pays homage to the decades-long commitment to grassroot's movement and struggles by the many volunteers over the years of our organising for system change. 

The Mural is designed to promote equality and inspire community action. It represents the culture: language, fruits, trees and local bush foods of the Wurundjeri People. Designed and curated by Texta Queen the mural is a collaborative effort from over 20 Friends of The Earth members and volunteers who assisted in finishing this unique original artwork.
