Energy Champions Leadership Programme 2024

Communities across Australia are stepping up to steer their regions towards the opportunities of the energy transition.

We are excited to support these new leaders with the campaigning skills and resources they need.

If you are excited to learn more about renewables transition and ready to make change this free leadership training programme is for you.

Apply Now for the Energy Champions Leadership Programme 2024!

This country has a potential like no other, with an abundance of renewable wind and solar potential. We believe that by working together we can get a better, fairer deal for our communities by delivering the fast, fair and just renewables transition we need.

Creating healthy and safe communities for our children to grow means tackling our climate catastrophe head on: By cutting our carbon emissions, investing in good, regional jobs, and making our homes more resilient, we can begin to thrive again.

What happens when I sign up?

The Energy Champions Leadership Programme is a series of FREE one day training sessions across several locations in Victoria.

Too often ordinary people are denied a say over how their power is produced and priced. If you want to build confidence, tell your story, and campaign for change, we want to work with you!

Here's a snapshot of the program timeline:

  • Saturday August 24th: Latrobe Valley Leadership Training - RSVP Here.
  • Sunday September 15th: Ballarat Leadership Training - RSVP Here.
  • To be announced: Inverloch Leadership Training

Join one of our Energy Champions Leadership training events across Victoria and learn how you can help unlock the opportunities of renewable energy for your community:

  • Get Informed: Learn from experienced leaders in climate and energy justice.
  • Get Empowered: Develop skills and tools to tackle difficult climate conversations, bust myths and speak with confidence about our energy transition.
  • Get Mobilised: Connect with other community leaders, local experts and facilitators and join a growing national network of energy champions.

Who Can Take Part in the Program?

  • Anyone who cares about the future of rural and regional Australia, and who sees the energy transition as a key part of our clean energy future.
  • Anyone who leads or represents a community group, or wants to be active in their local community on the energy transition.
  • Anyone who is passionate about renewable energy and wants to take the next step to make change.

All levels of experience in campaigning or community work are welcome.
We encourage applications from individuals who have been historically underrepresented.

Help lead the charge for a just, people-powered renewables rollout, across Victoria, and beyond.
