Victoria can be a world-leader in renewable energy - and the Latrobe Valley can be at the heart of it
As climate change worsens and energy bills spike, communities across Victoria are stepping up as frontline leaders, steering their regions towards the opportunities of a renewable energy economy.
With the Latrobe Valley in the middle of a big energy transition, it’s an important moment to make sure the community and the community’s needs are front and centre of the shift to renewable energy.
But fear, false-solutions like nuclear, and misinformation risk derailing the urgent action we need to see.
That’s why we need you. Local communities are stepping up, and we are here to empower new leaders.
Too often ordinary people are denied a say over how their power is produced and priced. If you want to build confidence, tell your story, and campaign for change, we want to work with you!

Early investment in renewables can save us money, generate good regional jobs, and grow our ability to make a fairer, more equitable society and economy. All while preserving our country, community and climate for our children and grandchildren.
But implementing solutions takes courage, that's why we are training a network of Energy Champions to help amplify the voices of those who need those solutions the most.
Whether you are already something of an expert, or simply want to understand a bit more about renewables, this is the training for you.
It’s not only about getting the facts but about giving people the confidence and skills to advocate for renewables solutions for themselves and their communities.
Plus, it’s free to take part!
