6pm - 6:30 Keynote Speaker : Nic Fox: President, Victorian Forest Alliance
Nic is a community builder and mobiliser. She was always aware of and concerned about the state of the environment, but over the summer of 2019/2020 she had a couple of “awakening” moments, including the Black Summer bushfires. Not long after that, she discovered an area of forest near her home town of Warburton was to be logged. Nic decided to sell her home, move into a tiny house and dedicate everything she has to protect the environment, particularly forests. Nic is the founder of Victorian Forest Alliance – a membership organisation that facilitates coordination and collaboration between groups working to fight deforestation and restore native forests in Victoria.
