Why sign the voter support letter? Is it different from petitions I've signed before?

Short Answer: Yes. And it's crucial that you sign this if you live in a Western Suburb.

Mid-2026, members of the Sustainable Cities Collective will meet with Members of Vic Parliament.

We will be carrying with us a raft of evidence about Better Buses - why it's necessary, and why they must move now to secure transformational network reform in the West. 

But the truth is, they already have all the evidence they need. They have the economic case. They have the rigorous social research and modelling. They have the proposal from their own Department of Transport and Planning. 

The one thing they don't have? Evidence that there are votes in buses.

Victorian State Elections are in Nov 2026. The Labor Government - and every other candidate running in that election - knows that the West is fed up with the lack of investment in our area. We know that certain MPs are already doing their own research on buses. We know that they are looking at this as a potentially cost-effective way to score a win with voters.

And they'd be right. But we have to prove it to them.
