The Sustainable Cities collective have been campaigning for better buses in the west since 2021.
Our approach is to work with community members who are most affected by the broken bus network, to build solutions towards a transformation of our transport system, based on the needs of local communities.
After recently winning new buses in the Wyndham area during the GAIC funding round, our campaign efforts have ramped up towards the 2025-26 state budget. With a recent petition that got over 3000 signatures set to be debated in parliament on November 27th, and a successful community protest at Williams Landing train station, the government are starting to feel the pressure - but we need to keep on building it!
Join us for a community meeting in Tarneit to discuss how we can build on this momentum and work together to get better buses in this term of government.
Halal pizza dinner & non-alcoholic drinks will be provided.
