Welcome back to Sustainable Cities collective meeting space in our second meeting back for 2023!
After a nice long summer break, it's time to get back into gear and build on the momentum of last year to really push for better buses in Melbourne's West, and all across the state!
Public transport is for everyone, and should be easily accessible to the growing communities in our West. Instead of depending on cars run on fossil fuels, we need an improved bus network, serviced by a fleet of clean, electric buses, to connect the community to essential services such as shopping centres, school, hospitals, and also to each other.
This week we will combine our collective meeting with a crafternoon to create/ fix our wearable cardboard buses, and make posters and signs ahead of the BUS MARATHON happening on April 1st!
Come and get crafty!
We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands and waterways in the area now known as Victoria. We pay respect to Elders past, present, and emerging, as well as to all First Nations communities who significantly contribute to the life of the area. We acknowledge sovereignty was never ceded. This is stolen land.
