The Sustainable Cities and Act on Climate collectives are banding together to run a series of fortnightly workshops on organising skills, from May - August. This week's collective meeting will be the first of that series!
The Organising training series is for anyone interested in building their activist skills. It aims to build capacity in our collectives and broader movement.
Sign up to the series here for updates and resources after each session. Whether you're able to attend or not, you can receive the content from the workshops and stay in touch with any changes and communications on the topics of upskilling.
This week will be the second of the series - Relational Organising and Facilitation (May 23rd)
What does relational organising look like? Join this session to learn about the power of one on one conversations in collective building and why relationships are the foundation of everything we do. Facilitation is a skill we use regularly in our collectives. This is an opportunity to also spend time reflecting on what makes a good facilitator and how we can improve our skills to get more out of our meeting processes.
May 9 - August 1 Organising Training Series
Every second week our meeting will be structured with a 1.5 hr workshop to build our community organising skills, include dinner and half an hour of "meeting" items. The other week of the fortnight will be usual programming of meeting 6pm-7:30 with dinner.
The training series is for anyone interested in building their activist skills and aims to build capacity in our collective and broader movement.
