Communities across Australia are gathering to support the shift to clean, sustainable energy sources.

Regional communities are leading the way in the transition to renewable energy.

Unfortunately, some politicians and shadowy organisations are using divisive tactics and spreading misinformation, much like we have seen from Trump and the far-right in Europe. These actions are only making it harder for us to have a fair and just transition towards a better future, and jeopardising jobs and opportunities for regional communities.

There are nation wide gatherings happening during the first week of February in support of renewable energy, including two in Victoria.

Renewables for the Regions Portland Event

Southwest Trades and Labour Council is holding a community information session at 4.30—6.00pm on 8 February at the Portland Golf Club to cut through the disinformation, to talk about the benefits of renewable energy and what we need to do to make sure our community gets maximum benefit from it.

Yes to Renewables Morwell event

In Gippsland, there are over $40 billion in proposed renewable energy projects, a massive opportunity that could revitalise our local economy and create new career pathways for young people.

Our community is excited to embrace this transition and work towards a brighter future for our families, workforce and the environment.

By working together, we can create opportunities for our communities and generate thousands of jobs while taking real action on climate change.

Join us for a snap photo to show our community supports renewable energy this Sunday 4th February!

We will gather outside the Latrobe City Council Offices on Commercial Road, Morwell at 11AM.
