Politics in the Pub: Everyone's favourite topic in everyone's favourite location!
Please join us on Thursday July 21 from 6-8pm for a casual, yet informative event about the environment and the upcoming state election.
Taking place at Half Moon in Brighton, we will be joined by guests who will be facilitating conversations about topics such as:
- Key dynamics in the 2022 State Election
- What is (and what could be) Victorian environmental policy?
- Could we see a 'teal' independent in the seat of Brighton?
- What do we know about James Newbury, your local State MP and Shadow Minister for Environment and Climate Change.
No prior knowledge required. Looking forward to seeing you there!
As always, reach out if you have any questions.
STAYING COVID SAFE: We will aim to spread people out across tables at the venue. However, we recommend that people wear masks if they cannot socially distance. Masks and hand sanitiser will be available for attendees.
Friends of the Earth acknowledge that this event will take place on the stolen lands of the Bunurong people. Sovereignty was never ceded, and fighting for First Nations justice must always be a core part of climate justice work.
