Offshore Wind Bill 2021

After years of campaigning by Friends of the Earth alongside allies in the union movement, the Morrison government has finally introduced national legislation to establish an offshore wind industry in Australia.

The Morrison government’s track record on climate change and renewable energy is notoriously bad -- that’s why we need to make our voices heard to shape this important legislation.

As a Senate Committee looks closely at the bill, we only have until Wednesday 15 September to shape it for the public good and make sure Australia’s first offshore wind bill is good for the climate, jobs and natural environment.

Join us and send a submission to the Senate Environment and Communications Committee calling for the swift passage of offshore wind legislation that delivers for the community, climate and environment.

Please make sure to include your full address and contact details so the Committee accepts your public submission.

You can track progress of the Senate inquiry here.
