Join us at the fortnightly meeting of the Energy Justice Collective! Get in on the ground and help us build a movement for true energy justice at Friends of the Earth Melbourne.
Meetings include dinner, cooked by a collective member (vegan and GF). These meetings are the engine room of our campaigns where we share updates, make decisions, get creative and plan awesome actions.
At the moment our campaign work involves:
- Helping low-income and multicultural communities in Melbourne get their homes off gas
- Cleaning up our Southern Ocean by forcing fossil fuel companies to remove old oil and gas drill rigs
- Acting in solidarity with communities resisting new gas extraction and AI data centres
No experience necessary - just a passion for energy justice. Bring your passion, bring your ideas, bring a friend!
Zoom option available: please reply to the RSVP email and let us know if you will be joining via zoom.
Accessing the building: Enter via the side door on Perry St. After 6pm the door will be locked, but one of our phone numbers will be taped to the door so give us a call. The meeting is up a flight of stairs.
What is EJC?
Energy Justice is a collective campaigning for the future we want to see beyond fossil fuels: a socially just energy system that serves communities and the environment instead of corporate profit. The Energy Justice Collective is fighting for affordable power, a clean environment and a just transition for all.
