Why now?

Over the next decade, Victoria is replacing its ageing gas network with affordable, renewable electricity. As households disconnect from gas, the ongoing cost of maintaining the gas network will be shared by fewer people, pushing up bills for those who are still using gas appliances.

Government rebates are available to help households electrify, but they can be difficult to navigate. We want to build everyone's understanding of the benefits of home electrification and support people to access the assistance they’re entitled to.

In addition to the government subsidies, the average home can save over $2,000 dollars a year in energy costs by electrifying.
