Complaint to the OCR - "Planned Burn" Incinerates Koalas in National Park

Friends of the Earth were notified by a local that burnt koalas had found dead at Mount Richmond National Park in the Barwon south-west region of Victoria after a "planned-burn". We did a site visit on May 28th to investigate the aftermath of this tragedy. We have made a formal complaint to the Office of Conservation Regulator (OCR) as this raises a number of concerns surrounding management of planned-burns as carried out by Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMV) and the Department of Environment Water, Land and Planning (DELWP).
