Right now, we have a window of opportunity to force Australia’s biggest polluting companies to pull their weight on climate action…
Will the Albanese government choose to Safeguard Our Climate, or protect polluter profits?
Join us for a fun street action where we'll hold BHP accountable for their historic contribution to climate change, and put the challenge to them to shift their stance and support a strengthened Climate Safeguard Mechanism from the federal government.
The Albanese Government was elected with a mandate to reform and strengthen Australia’s ‘Climate Safeguard Mechanism’ to deliver deep emissions cuts from large industrial polluters this decade.
The Dirty Dozen Polluters, Australia's largest coal and gas companies, are expected to lobby the federal government to let them dodge real climate action and get away with avoiding strong emissions cuts.
The community's voice is urgently needed as a counterweight to the Dirty Dozen Polluters' lobbying. The Albanese government needs to see that the community is sick and tired of these companies being let off the hook when it comes to their responsibilities to act on the climate crisis.
Join our friends from Higgins & Darebin Climate Action Networks, and Lighter Footprints, and rock up at the BHP HQ to shine a light on the company as one of the Dirty Dozen Polluters.
This action will take place on Wurundjeri country. Sovereignty was never ceded, this always was and always will be Aboriginal land. There can be no true climate justice without First Nations justice.
