Alert to Friends of the Earth Melbourne Members:
The Friends of the Earth Melbourne Annual General Meeting, due to be held next week on November 17th, has been postponed. We expect the new date to be early in the new year.
In the meantime, we welcome the interest of all FoEM Members in office-bearing positions below:
Nominating for our Management Committee (PAC): FoE Melbourne’s committee of management, known as PAC (Policy and Advisory Committee) is required to meet quarterly and fulfils the legal requirements of a board of management, while adhering to the anti-hierarchical principles of FoE. Nominations from eligible members of FoEM for election to the Committee of Management shall be lodged with the Secretary of the Association at the FOE office in writing or electronic form seven days before the Annual General Meeting. Eligible nominees must be current financial members of FOE.
Nominating for our Gift Fund Committee: FoE Melbourne’s Gift Fund Committee has oversight of the Public Fund in accordance with the Register of Environmental Organisation and the Ministers rules on Public Funds. The majority of members on the Gift Fund Committee must be considered ‘responsible people’.
