On the call, we shared the impacts of drought and food security, and examples of adaptation initiatives for water management and food security, including drought resilient farming. Together, we brainstormed how can we help those around us and how to prepare our communities for these climate impacts. ------------------------------------------------ "92% of farmers have experienced changes to seasonal conditions and more climate-related impacts to their business over the last 3 years. Climate change is viewed as the greatest threat to farming’s future in Australia.” ------------------------------------------------ See the presentation here. ------------------------------------------------ Resources:

Please chip in to our EOFY fundraiser to help us continue campaigning. Even $10 or less helps - we only need 600 people to donate $10 to reach our target of $6000! No donation is too small - it all adds up. |
Together we can help prepare communities for now unavoidable climate impacts!
Get in touch if you'd like to get involved or hear more about what we're doing:

Remember, you're always welcome to join Act on Climate's weekly meetings. Our organising and action meetings will take place on the alternative fortnight to the Organising Training Workshops.
All weeks include dinner. Register here for an upcoming Tuesday.
