'Southern Blast' screening and panel on seismic blasting

The Southern Ocean is a place of beauty and unique biodiversity. Birthing ground of the southern right whale, home to the pygmy blue whale and so many other iconic species, the Southern Ocean is also under constant threat from gas and oil exploration, gas production, carbon capture and storage projects and shonky gas well decommissioning projects.

Join us for a screening of the stunning film 'Southern Blast' produced by our friends at Surfrider Foundation. Learn about the massive seismic blasting project currently just weeks away from possible approval, and the impacts that this would have on this most beautiful part of the world. After the screening we will have a Q&A session led by No More Gas campaigner Freja Leonard about seismic blasting and the other projects currently under consideration - or already happening - in the Southern Ocean off the Victorian coastline.

Entry is by donation (but don't let financial hardship stop you from coming!) and light refreshments will be available catering to most dietary requirements.

See you there!
