Volunteer for a nuclear-free future

Australia has just taken a significant step towards nuclear disaster, by committing $368 billion dollars to nuclear submarines and therefore opening the door to more uranium mining (Australia is the 3rd biggest exporter of uranium), nuclear waste dumps, and potentially nuclear power and weapons.

All these steps in the nuclear chain affect first nations communities dis-proportionally, but will affect everyone in Australia and beyond for the next tens of thousands of years. This is not a legacy we want to leave for future generations. We need more hands on deck to fight the nuclear industry's push for expansion at the expense of people and the environment.

That's where you come in.

You don't need to know a lot about nuclear to get involved, just an openness to learn and help out. We need people that can help out with organising in-person events, create social media content and help paint banners to join us at rallies: the fun bits!

Here is a description to give you an idea about what the community organiser volunteer would do. But we welcome you to come up with your own projects and ideas as well. You can also volunteer as part of an internship or placement.

You can write to [email protected] to find out more, or fill in the volunteer form and tick the nuclear free collective box.

We look forward to hearing from you!
