Penny Howard, PhD is the National Research Officer at the Maritime Union of Australia (MUA) and has played a critical role in developing the union's campaign for offshore wind and climate jobs. The MUA represents dock workers, seafarers and workers in the coal export and offshore oil and gas industry and participates in the climate movement. Penny is also the author of ‘Environment, Labour and Capitalism at Sea: ‘Working the Ground in Scotland’.Peter Marriott is the Director of OSMI, a renewable energy company seeking to build the Latrobe Valley’s first ever wind farm. Peter has been involved in the renewable energy sector for a decade. He will present the vision of the Delburn wind farm and the benefits it can bring the Latrobe Valley.
Anna Langford is a campaigner with FoE's Act on Climate collective. Anna cut her teeth on the Gasfield Free Victoria campaign and is a co-founder of the Act on Climate campaign. Anna has been a leading voice in efforts to secure science-based Emissions Reduction Targets in Victoria.
Pat Simons is FoE’s Yes 2 Renewables coordinator. Pat played a key role ensuring the passage of the Victorian Renewable Energy Target through the state parliament and is focused on establishing a jobs-rich offshore wind sector in Australia.
