Get ready to celebrate Victoria's Renewable Energy Target...introducing V for #VRET

#V4VRET

In the coming weeks we're expecting news about the final winners of Victoria's very first renewable energy auctions.  This outcome is the culmination of years of grassroots community work advocating for the establishment of Victoria's Renewable Energy Target, which is expected to create as many as 10,000 jobs and cut emissions in the electricity sector by 16%.

We're gearing up to celebrate this renewable energy milestone, and want you be to be part of it. Are you ready to V for #VRET?

Victoria's Matthew Guy opposition has pledged to scrap the VRET if elected in November, and have been running a scare campaign on electricity prices, even though renewable energy is the cheapest new form of power.

It's vital we show renewable energy has the overwhelming support of the community. Here's what you can do:

Step 1. Take a selfie making the ✌️ signal - V for #VRET - and get ready to post to social media. You might like to do up a quick poster with a message about why you love renewables. Feel to get as creative as you like - this is a celebration after all!

Step 2. Sign up below to join our rapid response team to get the very latest updates.

Step 3. Wait for our word - as soon as the news drops about new wind and solar farms coming to Vic, we'll let you know it's time to post your V for #VRET selfie to twitter and facebook using the hashtags #VRET and #springst, the state politics hashtag.

News could come at any moment and we need to be ready to celebrate in our communities and on social media!
