Tunnel Vision Doco Screening

This February, join Sustainable Cities for a movie night and fundraiser to get the wheels turning on a new year of sustainable transport wins! The event will be held on Tuesday 4 Feb, 6-8pm at Loop Bar.

The documentary 'Tunnel Vision' recounts the 18-month struggle against the East-West link toll road that ended in a massive win for the community. We’ll be hosting a screening of this uplifting film, plus hearing from the experts and activists that lived the story themselves!

Come along to explore the power of community and the citizens who turned up, made themselves heard, and made history, and find out what the power of a community can do when we rally together.

This fundraiser and film screening night will be held on the land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and that struggles regarding urban planning and sustainability are inextricably linked to the struggles of First Nations Peoples.

Funds raised from this event will go towards Sustainable Cities’ campaigns to stop the North East Link and advocate for Melbourne Metro 2 as well as Tunnel Vision’s project to incorporate the film into Victorian high school curriculum.

The screening is at Loop Bar which is accessible by the 86 or 96 trams. You can get off at Stop 9 on Bourke St and the venue is located in an alleyway off Bourke St.

The space is accessible for wheelchairs. Please let us know if you have any other accessibility requirements. Unfortunately, the film does not have subtitles.

Online tickets are now unavailable. Please RSVP below, and bring cash to purchase a ticket at the door.
