A national poll commissioned by The Australia Institute shows strong public support for ambitious Renewable Energy Targets as the Andrews government finalises its Renewable Energy Action Plan.

When thinking of jobs in the renewable energy sector one often thinks of the electricians installing rooftop solar throughout the suburbs; the wind workers fabricating turbine towers in Portland; or the construction jobs that go along with building wind farms in regional Victoria.

On Friday 20 November, the Yes 2 Renewables team hit the road up the Hume highway to visit the site of an approved wind farm on the Cherry Tree Range, 15kms or so from Seymour.

On Monday 16 November, the Yes 2 Renewables team hit the road to the Macedon Ranges region to visit the headquarters of WestWind Energy with Victorian government MP, Mary-Anne Thomas (a longstanding ally of renewables).

On Tuesday 10 November, the Yes 2 Renewables team hit the road to Coonooer Bridge in the Loddon Shire, where a wind farm is under construction thanks to the ACT’s ambitious Renewable Energy Target of 90 percent by 2020.
