Coordinated by Friends of the Earth and funded by the Yarra City Council, the Change Makers Program aims to engage and empower participants to build a more resilient community in the face of climate change. You will learn from incredible speakers from Climate Works Australia, Australia Conservation Foundation and Friends of the Earth. They will guide you through simple practical solutions to reduce the effects of climate change, how to start your own projects, the latest climate science, and examples of what other climate leaders have achieved throughout Australia. The Australian government is cutting climate action programs and turning it’s back on environmental protection, and here in Victoria, our government wants to open up new coal mines while shutting down renewable energy across much of the state.
