Join us for our next collective meeting online via Zoom on Monday 30 March, 6-7.30pm.
It's a troubling time with COVID-19 on the top of everyone's minds. We encourage everyone to support each other in any way they can and reach out for help if they need. We can get through this together.
Throughout this time, we're continuing to advocate for a more sustainable and equitable transport future. We're working to make sure our campaigns to Stop the North East Link and build Melbourne Metro 2 continue to grow despite this trying time.
Did you know that the transport sector is Victoria's second largest and fastest growing contributor to carbon emissions?
Melbourne is a fast-developing city with so much to offer but the road lobby is putting pressure on the Victorian Government to invest in roads, instead of much needed public transport. With this mind frame, the future of Melbourne is under threat of becoming a gridlocked LA-style city.
Sustainable Cities is a grassroots campaign working with communities towards a more connected and equitable Melbourne.
Heading into our third year of action, 2020 is shaping up to be a massive year. You've got big roads plans to stop, and work to build the case to invest in smart transport solutions.
This is a space for updates, planning, sharing/building some skills, and meeting other passionate folks!
Everyone is welcome to come along. No prior knowledge or experience necessary, just a passion for grassroots community and transport solutions.
COVID-19 will change the way we campaign, and we'll need to adapt. Join us for our next meeting to be a part of a community staying together to get through this tough time. Let's continue to build our campaigns and speak out on important transport issues.
Action is the best remedy to despair.
