Too Good To Waste: Opposing Nuclear Waste in South Australia

You are invited to a round table campaign briefing and discussion about what is happening with nuclear waste in Australia.

Learn more about the vibrant campaign against a national nuclear waste dump in Flinders Ranges, South Australia. Adnyamathanha Traditional Owners Regina McKenzie and Vivienne McKenzie will be special guests and tell us more about how their community is resisting a national nuclear waste dump on their Country.

Additionally, following the recently released findings from the South Australian Royal Commission into the Nuclear Fuel Cycle, the South Australian Government looks set to pursue plans to develop another nuclear waste dump - a separate facility to dispose of international high level nuclear waste. There will be a briefing on this campaign from Dr Jim Green, National Nuclear Campaigner at Friends of the Earth and Cat Beaton, Nuclear Campainger with the South Australian Conservation Council. This event will be hosted by the Friends of the Earth Anti-Nuclear and Clean Energy (ACE) Collective and the South Australian Conservation Council.

Join us, and members from unions, environmental groups, indigenous solidarity groups and the concerned Melbourne community to explore ways we can collaborate and build campaign momentum on these issues.

Dinner will be provided

We look forward to seeing you there
