Send an email to the environment minister today, identifying current and future risks to forests and call for strong action, protections, adequate ecological restoration and First Nations justice.
With the government’s recent announcement to end native forest logging by Jan 1 2024, right now is an incredible moment in history. We have the opportunity to transition to ecological forest stewardship with 1.8 million hectares of public land changing tenure.

It will require deep listening, the inclusion of a diversity of voices to inform decision making, and the prioritisation of First Nations Sovereignty and custodianship. It is critical that the government listens to a diversity of voices and protects and restores forests for climate, biodiversity and humanity.
