Candidates' Forum: Portland's role in Victoria's Energy Future

Portland is home to hundreds of renewable energy jobs, how can we secure these jobs into the future?

Victoria is transitioning from coal to renewable energy, how can Portland seize the economic opportunities?

Join us for the Candidates Forum: Portland's role in Victoria's Energy Future to hear directly from state political candidates about their vision and policies for Victoria's energy future.

Portland is the epicentre of Victoria's renewable energy sector.

Home to Australia's largest wind tower manufacturer Keppel Prince, the longest serving wind-technician team at Senvion, as well as a strong community that stood up to protect Western Victoria from gasfields.

Whether it's renewable energy jobs, electricity prices, or the impacts of climate change, energy is a top issue this state election. And it's a critical issue for the city and the broader region.

In addition to a stakeholder presentation by Managing Director of Keppel Prince, Steve Garner, the audience will hear from the following candidates, followed by a QandA:

- Roma Britnell MP (Liberal)

- Thomas Campbell (Greens)

- Kylie Gaston (Labor)

- James Purcell (Local Jobs 1st)

We look forward to seeing you there! Please RSVP below.
