Geelong Sustainability Group in partnership with Friends of the Earth's Yes 2 Renewables campaign are seeking to put renewable energy and the need for action on climate on the 2014 state election agenda.
That’s why we are launching the Eight Months to Make a Difference state election campaign.
The Eight Months to Make a Difference model provides a structured way for the local community to engage in the state election. It involves taking eight simple steps between now and the state election on November 29. The steps include things like writing to your MP, and letterboxing your street.
Each of the steps build on each other and will help get sustainability and environmental issues on the agenda.
To do this we need your help - Geelong Sustainability Group is calling out for interested members in the community to get involved and start by meeting for an information session.
Come along to the Eight Months to Make a Difference information session. Find out how you can help put sustainability on the agenda. The information session is a friendly, informal session with no prior knowledge of politics required.
