Get On Board Meeting #2

Friends of the Earth Melbourne would like to invite you to a special meeting to follow up meeting from developing a Sustainable Community Transport Plan for Melbourne.

Since we came together at the start of 2018 the movement has been growing - new communities getting involved, hundreds of people signing onto a better transport future, actions from Werribee and Williamstown to Moreland and uni campus', up in Ivanhoe to down in Mordialloc.

We've also seen this governments' biggest budget commitments to roads since elected. Both sides of politics have road-based platforms for the coming election - but with 6 months to go it's time to shift the story.

We need to keep growing community momentum, and determine where the campaign is heading.

  • How can we continuously effectively utilise the Get On Board plan as a tool to achieve political commitments for sustainable transport and stopping destructive projects?
  • When are the moments can we work together to have impact?
  • What do we all need to do in the coming months?

This session, facilitated by Friends of the Earth, is open to everyone interested in being actively involved.

Lunch: we ask that everyone brings a plate of food to share. We'll have tea and coffee available.

You can see the current Get On Board plan details here.

We have some ideas and readings we'll send out, please RSVP to get the latest updates.
