Get Up and Dance #4: For Energy Justice

So, picture this. It's a sunny March morning. You could be at home in a snooze-alarm loop or jump-starting yourself with coffee BUT instead you're dancing to soulful beats with all your friends, eating yum pastries, summery fruit & drinking coffee in between.

I know right... how could it even get better? Well it's also got a purpose through supporting our new Energy Justice campaign!

Victoria's energy system is broken. It's built on burning coal that fuels climate change. Thousands of Victorian's are in energy poverty while our "Big 3" energy retailers are pocketing the profits. Something needs to change... so we are going to go out there & join communities in demanding that our government & energy retailers provide clean, fair & affordable energy.

All donations will go towards travel costs & organising forums on our Energy Justice Road Trip - connecting Melbourne folk with La Trobe Valley residents who's health is effected by coal & other rural areas that are affected by energy poverty.

Entry by donation (recommended $5-$20)
Breakfast & Coffee by donation.
Music by Peekaboo & DJ Lady Soup!!

We acknowledge that this event will take place on the country of the Wurundjeri people. Their sovereignty was never ceded and we will continue to work with them for social justice as well as climate justice.
