The Murray Darling is suffering from low flows and over extraction. 

Failure of government has caused huge lakes systems to go dry, reduced the Darling River to a trickle and put immense pressure on ecosystems and communities that depend on a healthy river. 

Now instead of returning water to the rivers the state and federal governments are building massive projects across the country.
