The community is leading on climate while the politicians lag behind!
Prime Minister Scott Morrison will go to the COP26 climate summit with targets that are not supported by scientists, economists, nor the people of Australia.
With the lifting of COVID-19 restrictions in Melbourne, let's show Liberal government MPs that we demand better!
On Friday 5 November at 11am, we are going to make our presence known outside the office of Gladys Liu, the Liberal Member for Chisholm.
We'll meet close to the offices at Roslyn Street Playground (1 Roslyn St, Burwood), talk through the plan, distribute signs and banners, and then walk over to the offices together.
This is just one of many parallel events happening on the same day at other MP offices.
If you want to coordinate a parallel event at different MP, please get in touch with Jarred on 0468 862 503 or [email protected]
This event will be COVID Safe and will abide by the restrictions:
- Maximum 30 people at each meeting.
- Practice social distancing.
- Masks where not possible to maintain social distancing.
- Only attendees that have been fully vaccinated.
- People who have COVID19 symptoms are asked to remain at home.
This event will take place on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people. Friends of the Earth acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded, and First Nations justice is core to our fight for climate justice.
