Climate Adapt Map Storytelling Launch (online & in-person)

Join us for a night of storytelling, hot drinks, live music and a little dancing to celebrate climate adaptation initiatives and our new Climate Adapt Map.

Friends of the Earth Melbourne’s Act on Climate collective is officially launching its Australian Climate Adaptation Map website, and you are invited to its in-person and online launch!

The Act on Climate collective has been busy putting together a new informative website that logs and displays climate adaptation initiatives underway in communities and councils across Australia. Zoom in on your community, pop over to others for inspiration, search by climate impact, or check out what's happening on the adaptation front globally at climateadapt.australianmap.net.

To celebrate the website going live, come along to the launch party on 31 July, with vegan nibbles, mulled wine and hot chocolate, storytelling about climate adaptation, and live music, as well as a little bush dancing. Those attending online will need to BYO nibbles and hot drinks, but there will be online speakers and videos, as well as the in-person speakers to engage everyone.

We hope to see you there!

Accessibility: The majority of the event will be held downstairs in the FoE Cafe/Food Co-Op so will be accessible, however the bush dancing will be upstairs. The event will also be streamed online and includes online speakers and videos.

We hope to see you there!

We acknowledge that the lands we meet and work on across so called Victoria are stolen from First Nations people. There can be no climate justice without justice for First Nations communities everywhere. Solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander people under settler colonialism in so called Australia is critical in the fight for liberation from all oppressive systems that devalue and exploit people and the environment.
