Victoria’s energy system is failing us. And it’s failing the planet. We have polluting energy sources, soaring power prices and people struggling to pay their energy bills.
After a buzzing year of action, we now have a small window left until the Victorian state election on November 24. It will have a huge impact on our state’s response to climate change. This is our chance to show candidates from all sides of politics that energy justice is a top priority in the upcoming election!
Your local MP - David Southwick is a key player in energy and climate policy in Victoria. Yet where are his plans to reduce emissions, lower power prices and create long-term dignified work for Victorians? We want to show Southwick and all Caulfield candidates that these are important issues in the local community.
Come to our Forum & community conversation on Thursday Nov 8 organised by Quit Coal / Friends of the Earth in Elsternwick.
We'll be talking about the impacts of our profit driven, polluting energy system, hear from community members and a guest panel and plan some local action!
Working together, we can make this election an opportunity to make real change!
All are welcome. Drinks and snacks will be available.
