Act On Climate Action Group Meeting - Weekly

Friends of the Earth Melbourne's Act on Climate collective is pushing political parties for climate leadership, holding blockers to account, and supporting community champions across Victoria.

In 2017, the Act on Climate collective helped secure the passage of the Climate Change Act and lock in a $4.3 million grant scheme for climate solutions.

In 2018, we held the Liberal party to account for failing to present a climate policy and demonstrated that a head-in-the-sand approach to climate change will cost votes.

In 2019, we'll be championing the case for the Andrews govt to set ambitious Emissions Reduction Targets for the state. The looming decision will set the bar for what's possible at the national level.

Collective meetings are the engine room of the campaign. Come along to get involved in a grassroots action on climate change.

No prior knowledge or experience necessary, just a passion for community and climate change solutions.

We hope to see you at an Act on Climate collective meeting soon!

This event will take place on the lands of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations. We acknowledge this land was stolen, and that sovereignty was never ceded.
