Come along and learn some tried and tested techniques for engaging with members of the public on issues.
Workshop will cover the following skills:
- Body language
- Questions; what to ask? Who to ask? When to ask?
- Developing your "pitch"
- How to stop people at street stalls
- Doorknocking hints and tips
- How to avoid conflict; ending tricky conversations
- What to wear, what to avoid
Training provided by Meg, who has spent over five years working on street and door fundraising programs and running face to face teams for a range of NGOs.
