Make a Difference, volunteer in the campaigns office
The Friends of the Earth Melbourne campaigns office is an exciting hub of activity, with many local, national and international environmental and social justice campaigns coordinated out of the Smith St (Collingwood) office. These campaigns cover issues such as opposing the expansion of Australia's nuclear industry; working towards Yorta Yorta management of the Barmah Millewa forest on the Murray river; raising awareness of the plight of climate chaos refugees; as well as Real Food and public transport campaigns, and many others.
Would you like to make new friends and meet like-minded people? By doing a regular weekly volunteer 'shift' in the FoE campaigns office you will develop new skills, gain valuable experience and learn about environmental and social justice issues. You will also be playing an important part in the success of a leading environmental and social justice organisation.
How to get involved:
Volunteers in the campaigns office play a variety of roles and undertake a variety of tasks - what you do is up to you!
Office volunteers generally come in a half day every week or every fortnight. Some work on one campaign, based on their interests. Others work on different projects across the organisation as they come up.
